1. Introduction
No Drink ("we", "our", or "the app") is developed by AppCabal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our iOS application.
2. Information We Collect
No Drink is designed with privacy at its core. We collect minimal data necessary to provide the app experience:
- Data stored locally on your device: Your onboarding selections (quitting reasons, principles), sobriety streak data, daily check-in records, craving event timestamps, notification preferences, and milestone progress. This data is stored using UserDefaults on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
- Local notifications: The app schedules local notifications (morning check-ins and daily motivation reminders) using your selected reasons. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device by iOS. No notification data is sent to external servers.
- Share feature: When you share your sobriety streak, the app renders an image locally on your device. The image and caption are passed to the iOS share sheet. We do not intercept, store, or transmit shared content.
- Subscription information: We use Apple's StoreKit framework to verify your subscription status. Subscription transactions are managed entirely by Apple. We do not store or process payment information.
- Paywall analytics: We use SuperwallKit to present subscription paywalls. Superwall may collect anonymized analytics data related to paywall interactions. Please refer to Superwall's Privacy Policy for details.
- Analytics and attribution: We use AppsFlyer SDK for app analytics and install attribution. AppsFlyer collects the following data: device identifier (IDFV), app usage events (such as app launches, onboarding progress, feature interactions, subscription events), purchase data (product identifiers and pricing), and device metadata (device model, OS version, app version). This data is transmitted to AppsFlyer's servers and is not linked to your personal identity. Please refer to AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy for details.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contacts or address book data
- Photos, camera, or microphone data
- Health or fitness data
- Browsing history
4. Data Storage and Transmission
User-generated content (reasons, streak data, check-in records, craving logs) is stored on your device using iOS UserDefaults. We do not operate our own servers or databases for storing your data. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
Certain anonymized usage data is transmitted to third-party analytics services (AppsFlyer and Superwall) as described above. This data is not linked to your personal identity and is used solely for improving the app experience and measuring performance.
5. Third-Party Services
The app integrates the following third-party services. Each third party provides data protection consistent with their published privacy policies:
- Apple StoreKit: For subscription purchases and verification. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- SuperwallKit: For paywall presentation and subscription flow. May collect anonymized paywall interaction data. Governed by Superwall's Privacy Policy.
- AppsFlyer: For app analytics, install attribution, and performance measurement. Collects device identifiers (IDFV), app usage events, purchase events, and device metadata. Data is not linked to your personal identity. Governed by AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy.
6. Children's Privacy
No Drink is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us so we can address the concern.
7. Data Security
Your personal app data is stored locally on your device and benefits from iOS security protections, including device encryption and app sandboxing. Anonymized analytics data transmitted to third-party services (AppsFlyer, Superwall) is protected via industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) during transmission.
8. Your Rights and Data Deletion
All personal app data (reasons, streaks, logs) is stored locally on your device. You can delete this data at any time by using the "Reset progress" option in app settings or by deleting the app entirely. Anonymized analytics data previously transmitted to third-party services cannot be individually retrieved or deleted, as it is not linked to your personal identity.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
